If you’ve always wanted to learn to surf, or if you’re an experienced surfer looking to get back into the action after a long layoff, or if you just want to build on existing skills, we’d love for you to join us at our Manhattan Beach surfing school.
Our classes take place at El Porto in Manhattan Beach, near the lifeguard tower by 45th Street. Expert instructors are available every day, all year round. Private lessons are offered as follows:
- During the July 1 to Labor Day summer season, private lessons run every day from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
- During our Labor Day to June 30 winter season, join us from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for private one-on-one lessons
Outside of Daylight Savings Time, our winter lessons begin at 8 a.m. and wrap up for the day at 4 p.m. During Spring Break and Summer Break, kids and teens aged 5 to 17 can also take part in our popular Surf Camp, which offers an immersive experience that helps kids boost their surfing skills and stay active while school is out.
We also offer El Porto surf lessons to Private Groups of 10 to 20 people or more. They’re perfect if you’re looking for a creative company team-building activity, or if you want to attend surfing school with friends or family members. These custom packages are affordably priced, with big discounts for larger groups.
Alternately, we offer Surf Equipment Rentals if you’ve got the skills and confidence to hit the waves on your own but don’t own your own gear.
